New Crabby Joe's Kitchener Location Opens

Popular eatery opens second Kitchener location, 70 King E. Kitchener

Don’t be deterred by its surly sounding moniker. Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill is where families, teams, couples and crowds are always welcome whether it’s for a quick lunch, mid-day refreshment or full-fledged dinner. And in Kitchener-Waterloo, fans of the Ontario-based establishment will now enjoy a second location.

“Our first Kitchener location opened (on Fairway Road) in 1998 and the new one opens June 8,” says Crabby Joe’s Marketing Manager, Stacey Billinger, citing 70 King Street East, Kitchener, as the restaurant’s latest locale. “We have 30 restaurants all together... with a few more to come in the next year.”

At each location – 70 King Street East, included – along with an inviting atmosphere defined by natural brick, hardwood, cartoon chalkboards, sports memorabilia, upbeat music and plenty of comfortable seating, customers can expect a deliciously diverse menu. “(We) offer a variety to appease any appetite (including) salads, burgers, seafood, pastas, sizzlers, steaks and ribs,” affirms Billinger, making special mention of Crabby Joe’s Pulled Pork Sandwich, T-Bone Steak, Shrimp Penne Rustica and delectable desserts.

“They’ll make your mouth water.”
So will Crabby Joe’s ongoing promotions including:

  • $0.39 wings on Tuesdays
  • $15 rack of ribs on Thursdays
  • $4 martinis on Fridays
  • $15 one-pound Canadian AAA T-bone steaks throughout the week
  • Half-price appetizers after 9 p.m. daily
  • A 14-minute lunch express, Monday to Friday

On Sundays, kids eat free and, starting June 22, ‘Crabby Summer’ begins featuring the all-new Joe’s Mother Load Burger – a prime rib burger with 20 available toppings, served with fries, for just $10.99 – and a new summer menu with refreshing salads, some new entrees and a sensational assortment of desserts and drinks.

Concludes Billinger: “Whether it’s in our dining room where families and friends enjoy their meals or in the bar/refreshment area where customers drop in for a social visit, (at Crabby Joe’s) you’ll find fun and fellowship combined with good food and pleasant surroundings.”
